Queen Victoria’s Royal Parade to Trinity Fair
led by North Devon Pipes and Drums. From the Candar at the top of Fore Street, the Parade processes along the High Street to all the fun of a traditional fair at The Vicarage Gardens, St. Brannocks Road. Delicious cream teas, side shows, stalls, amusements and bargains. Judging of the best dressed Victorians (adults and children.) This competition is arranged and judged by the Parish Church. |

This competition is open to boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 12 years and will be judged in the Landmark Pavilion. Cups and prizes will be awarded to winners. Gather at the Landmark to brave the elements for a paddle in the sea at the Harbour Beach (outside the Royal Britannia Hotel.) Fun and frolics in a less refined manner before parading to the Landmark Pavilion for more fun and judging the best Bathing Belle or Beau. Free entry to audience and competitors. Open to all ages, shapes and sizes.

Exmoor Zoo Presents: A Mad Hatter in Wonderland.
At the Sea Front and during the whole afternoon. Come in the costume of your favourite ‘Alice’ character (prizes for best costume). The Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts will lead us through Flamingo Croquet and Caucus Races for an afternoon of mayhem, merriment and madness. Jenna Dawlish writes romantic fiction set in the Victorian period. Her first novel Love Engineered was short listed for the Romantic Novelists’ Association New Writers’ Award- 2009. She started writing at the tender age of thirty whilst commuting in London by train and now lives in East Devon with her family. |

Stalls will be situated all along the Seafront and a bar-b-q will run for most of the day and into the evening.
