Welcome to Ilfracombe Victorian Celebration
Nestling in the beautiful coastal scenery of North Devon in England, the town of Ilfracombe experienced a boom in growth during the reign of Queen Victoria from 1837 to 1901.
For the past 20 years, the town has staged Ilfracombe Victorian Celebration each June.
We warmly invite you to attend our next Ilfracombe Victorian Week from 7th to 15th June 2008 - read more here.
Everyone is welcome to join in the fun of our events and entertainments celebrating the splendour of this exciting age. Many townspeople don Victorian costume for the week, while a full programme of activities is hosted from parades to concerts and shows.
Whether you live locally or are visiting beautiful North Devon, we invite you to join in our Ilfracombe Victorian Celebration. You are welcome to dress as a Victorian - as simply or elaborately as you choose - to participate in our events or to sit back and enjoy the spectacle as the town is transported back to yesteryear.
